Age Categories:
Youth (12 and under) Junior (13-16) Women and Men (17 and over) Senior (60 and over)

Register in your category prior to the preliminaries –  there is no fee for registration
• Preliminaries take place Saturday afternoon after the completion of the fiddle contest preliminaries (approximately 2 p.m.)
• Top three in each age category will  advance to the finals - held Sunday afternoon
• In both the preliminaries and the finals dancers will be judged on the following number of changes
  • Senior – 3
  • Men’s and  Women’s – 10
  • Junior – 6
  • Youth – 4
• All dancers will be judged on rhythm and timing – clean changes – stage presence…and as outlined on the competitions page, extra points will be awarded for Traditional (form, steps, and dress)
• Judges sheets will outline the marks associated with all categories of the judging, and both the judges and the score sheets will be available within an hour after both the preliminaries and the finals if the dancers choose to inquire about their scores.
